munich!!

BTS decided to do a concert in munich, my boyfriend's mom wants to go there, takes her son with her.
I wanna meet my bf again, hear they're gonna be in munich (roughly in the middle between our homes) in half a year, I decide to go there too.
and that's how I ended up in munich for 4 nights.

travel and stuff

the travel itself was quite nice. initially I thought about using my deutschland-ticket to its fullest extend and traveling from northern lower saxony to munich just by regional trains, but then I realized that'd take 12 hours.. assuming no train is late, of which you can generally assume the opposite in germany..
so instead I paid 100 euros for an ICE ticket to and from hamburg (still went to hamburg with the d-ticket tho).
was quite a nice six eight hour journey (per direction). also they got comedy too on these trains, whoever says stuff said We are projected to arrive at 19:31....
...at 19:33. maybe their clocks are just late, would at least explain why they're late all the time (yes I stole that joke from someone, I hope you don't sue me for copyright infringement, dehrens. lul)

my hotel was also quite nice, I just picked the cheapest location b&b still had rooms for. it was as clean as you'd expect, as usable as you'd expect, and in general it's just everything you'd expect for a hotel.
the same can't be said for my bf's (first) hotel: for whatever reason the cleaning personal decided to just not do shit; there were hairs on the pillows, the soap dispenser wasn't built correctly and the fridge had half a potato, half a tomato and a pot full of potatoes in it...
he and his mom ofc contacted customer service to say Hey it's kinda bad here, please send the cleaning people again. the robot on the other side answered Alright, we will send people tomorrow at 10:30, please leave the room before then so we can work efficiently. You can return at 12:00. and so next day they woke up early, took their things with em to the local mall, came back and nothing was cleaned.
so I call there (they only got german support, so I had to) and they (this time a human at least) again said Oh yea sorry, they were late, they should be there in 15 minutes.
they were not there in 15 minutes.
luckily their second hotel was a lot better.. but if I may give a recommendation, DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, BOOK A STAY AT Homaris Apartments Therese.

munich itself

I must admit, munich is a pretty nice looking city. all the buildings, at least where I wandered, were clean, the architecture was good, etc.
the s-bahn and especially the u-bahn cars are gorgeous! I didn't take any pictures sadly, but if you're there, go ride the trains, even if you got a car, it's worth how pretty they are :3

that being said, what the is munich's super market culture ;w;
the edeka, in a mall only like 15 minutes by foot away from central station, closes at 18:00, even the mom'n'pop stores from my ex-home town would laugh at that. the lidl in said mall is open til 20:00, aka until my old edeka closes (or two hours before my current one does, thanks berlin for being a city, not a we don't technically got enough people living here to be a town, but cause of history we're classified as one anyway).
also it's closed on sundays ofc but that I knew at least, munich is still germany after all.

the single further out region I was in (because of my hotel) was also nice :3
not as city-ish of course, but you could still very much tell it was a city, while also not being as overwhelming with people as some places are to some people (not to me, I may hate people, but crowds have never annoyed or overwhelmed me lul).

overall it's like a 7.5/10, would recommend you go there for a bit if you got the chance :3

pictures!!

I initially wanted to write a lil part about all the things I saw in munich but I'm too lazy so just have some pictures instead:

well in actuality I wanted to take the s-bahn to the tower, but I got out a stop too late and then had to walk an entire stop my foot ;w;

I know it is trash, but it does look kinda cool, right?

I mean I never traded through the boerse muenchen, and that pic was taken on a sunday so no stock trading that day anyway, but was still cool to see a place where rich people get richer and I lose all my money on doing stuff with leverage
(nw I'm not bankrupt.. I invest in much safer options than high leverage stuff, like the lottery! /j)

I think there might be a furry in the museum staff.. or an indie horror fan.. or both.. probably both..

idk how to make it so you guys can actually like scroll around the seam, so ig you'll be stuck with this for now. the castle was very pretty though, including the interior decor as you'll see next picture :3
